8-15-08.  Current Overview, Mackenzie Valley Gas Pipeline Project The Mackenzie Gas Project proposes to build a 1220-kilometre pipeline system along the Mackenzie Valley. It would link northern natural gas producing wells to southern markets. The main Mackenzie Valley Pipeline would connect to an existing natural gas pipeline system in northwestern Alberta (Map-r, produced by Mackenzie Gas Project.).

Alaska is 20% the size of the country with 3/4 of its coastline and massive resources that have been put off-limits by Congressional action, Presidential Executive Order and by administrative rulings.  Freeing Alaska from significant oil and gas exploration and development moratoria, for example, could dramatically increase the domestic oil and gas reserves which power the economy, create domestic jobs and wealth and provide sustenance for the national defense.  We are grateful to those who provided this impressive graphic.
